City on Fire by Don Winslow

This was my first Don Winslow book and it was also a little out of my comfort zone, I was really glad I read this book.  I love watching movies and TV shows like this book, so I don't know why it took me this long to pick up a book like this. I really couldn't put it down and I could have read it in one day, but I wanted to take my time with it. I do have to say it dragged a little in some parts but it didn't take me out of the story. I will be picking up more from Don Winslow in the future and recommending him to all my friends.

Thank you Tandem Collective, Harper Collins and William Morrow Books for letting read and review City on Fire.

Nettle & Bone by T. Kingfisher

I can say for certain that T.Kingfisher is one of my favorite authors, I will be getting everything they buy.  This book was wonderful, I couldn't put it down but I did have to get some sleep. I think my favorite character has to be the gravewitch and the fairy godmother, they made me laugh out loud at points. Then there is Bonedog which he had my heart and now I really want a bonedog. I also had the audio of this book, and I highly recommend to get it as you follow along with the physical book. I can't wait to read more from T.Kingfisher.

Thank you Netgalley, Tor Books and Macmillan Audio for letting me read and review Nettle & Bone.

A Haunted Road Atlas: Sinister Stops and Dangerous Destinations, and True Crime Tales by Christine Schiefer and Em Schulz

I enjoyed this book but I really couldn't stand is how much that mentioned Zak Bagans, other than that I loved it. I really can't wait to visit all the places in this book that I haven't been in before.

Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Audio for letting me read and review his book.

Spare Parts: The Story of Medicine Through the History of Transplant Surgery by Paul Craddock

I didn’t think I would really like this book as much as I did, it even made me cry. Just thinking that if it wasn’t for Willem Johan Kolff who started dialysis for kidney and artificial heart, I wouldn’t have known my grandad. Paul Craddock, the author, wrote that even the Layman could understand it. He even narrates his own book which I loved. I have learned a lot about transplants then I knew that was out there. Spare Parts has me wanting to read more about
medical history and where it started.

Thank you Netgalley, St. Martin's Press and Macmillan Audio for letting me review this book.

Howls from the Dark Ages

I want thank HOWL Society Press for sending me this book for an honest review

What I loved about this book is that it was like you were visiting an museum with haunted artifacts and with the curator telling you about each artifact that sends you back in time. When I was reading their part I kept picturing demonologist John Zaffi, like his aunt and uncle Ed and Lorraine Warren has a haunted museum, plus he had a show called Haunted Collector.
